New Stuff

Here at La Rock's Fun and Magic we hosted some great workshops taught by
Pieter van Engen and Robbie Furman, CBA on Wednesday, March 6th. Everything went great and we just wanted to thank Robbie and Pieter for coming down and sharing their vast knowledge with us.

Robbie and Pieter taught their twisting and deco twisting designs and the results were spectacular. We took some great pictures and are posting them here for your enjoyment.

About The Instructors

Pieter Van Engen

Pieter started his career as a musician, studying bass guitar at the Dutch Academy of Music, after his graduation he performed with several groups and acts. During this period Pieter develops his talent for balloon sculpting and nowadays Pieter is a fulltime international award-winning balloon artist, specialized in long lasting memories of his balloon art. His work is seen in magazines, instructional DVD’s, trainings and performances all over the globe, from the streets of Amsterdam to national television.

In 2010, a Balloon Excellence award “Rising Star” was given to Pieter by Ralph Dewey. Pieter participated in the third edition of the "Twister Think Tank", a special meeting with 12 top twisters from around the world.

Robbie Furman, CBA

Originally from Parsippany, New Jersey Robbie Furman, CBA has been working with balloons for over 20 years. His original designs and techniques have become the mainstay of many balloon decorators and artists the world over.

Over the past several years, Robbie has been teaching his Deco-Twisting style to thousands of students around the world. Robbie has traveled to Israel, France, Italy, Colombia, Japan, Mexico and England.

Robbie’s passion and desire is to share his balloon knowledge and enthusiasm with those around the world. Robbie was awarded the Golden Light Award, given in honor of the late Linda Bruce and most recently the David Grist Memorial Award.
